HMMWVs needz moar gearing.

Low range tops out at 11 mph in 1st gear.

gears aint the issue for them its the XXXXing wieght, ive driven a H1 with a 502 crate motor and it was still a dog, sounded sick though

oh wait thats right, you have to put ATF in the TC first or itll cook everything in the tranny

my happenings for the day:

• got to work @ 0600.
• left @ 1430 to go to the dealer
• dealer had no idea what was wrong with my car, but gave me some PN's and didn't charge me a diagnostic fee.
• getting over 2k back in federal tax returns.
• time to order parts. (not just for the vw)

.250" wall at minimum.

Wtf.. the first nope was in response to me saying that I was going to use .250 wall DOM. :wierd: Just because I say something is tempting doesn't mean I am even considering using it.

And the only thing I would ever consider other than DOM is cardboard, but I haven't been able to find a reliable .250 wall cardboard source yet

I agree they weigh a ton, but still...11mph in 1st gear in low range?

That seems a little crappy.

Hell my truck can't do 11 mph in 1st gear in high range.

Makes sense - are you swapping the interior harness as well? I know for a fact you'll have to customize some of that but not too much, just the cabin lights / rear speakers + gas tank / taillight stuff iirc.

Dude. Where do you get paper towel rolls in .25" wall? I can only find like .031" around here, it's not much good for anything except exhaust tubing and then you have to spray paint it silver first.

I gotta do my tax returns... I did sell 2k worth of stock I didn't know I had today though. That was a pleasant discovery.
