I've considered joining a local club but I figure I should get my jeep back into actual wheelable condition again first. I haven't considered it reliable enough for that since right after I lifted it, really. A whole bunch of stuff was right on the edge of breaking and it's been kicking me since then.
Need to throw that transmission and new axles in still... probably going to do the transmission the weekend after next, assuming the weather holds.
I think I should really get motivated and go to the JY this wkend, though I feel like there is something else I was planning on doing. :dunno: Maybe I will call everetts today and ask about how much they would want for the brake backing plate, caliper, etc would run me. Then I get to order myself some spacers and get rear disks on the XJ arty:
We both usually end up grabbing lunch right around noon since we have no meetings then; today I was going late because I was buying typing up a procedure for our guy in Cork and figured I would finish that before I went for food... My boss looked at me at around 12:30 and asked "what, not taking a lunch today". my reply was "no, just taking lunch late, the more time I work before lunch the less time I have after lunch".
So he sits there looking like he is thinking it over with that 'yeah I guess that's a valid point' look on his face. Then he stops and says "I can think of a couple other ways to work less in the afternoon and neither involve taking a late lunch"
so i started my new job today. when im not gunna be out on the road, i get to fab things and cut up old A/C units in his shop. Only problem i have fabbing for him is hes one of those types of people that buys HF junk, doesnt use guards/handles, and tools are just spread out everywhere.
oh it does, im gunna bring my own grinder and chop saw for tomorrow. hes got nice milwakee drills and sawzalls and stuff, but he has different standards then me for other stuff. ive already started giving him crap for buying/using cheap junk.
