Can't drive the XJ on the road at least until I get another windshield in, which might not happen this coming weekend because of the weather.

Still averaging close to 21 mpg in the truck though for this tank (only gone 100 miles so far - but I do let it warm up for 15 minutes in the morning).

That little # still makes me very tempted to buy a CTD. Since I do mostly highway driving it wouldn't be bad. Maybe I will just suck it up, sell my car, and take out a loan for a CTD. I would definitely sacrifice 6-9 mpg to drive that truck. Lately my car has been getting 27.5-28.5 ever since the winter blend fuel came out. Usually comes in around 29.5-31 during the summer. I am fine giving up a bit of economy to get my man card back.

Only problem with that is if I do get a CTD I would need to get a trailer and I have nowhere to keep the trailer.. I am already using my 2 parking spaces that I have been allotted :laugh: Maybe if I park the Jeep on the trailer at all times I will remain in my "2 parking spot" limit though I am quite sure I will catch quite a bit of sh!t for coming home with a truck and trailer instead of my fuel efficient car.

i got about 30.5 mpg in all the driving i did over the weekend as long as i stay below boost i get sweet gas mileage.

Yeah for wheelin they are. I was talking about that with Travis last night. Might not even bother replacing it if I'm just wheelin it.

My only concern would be getting a ticket for a fawked up windshield. On the other hand I am fairly certain that as long as you are wearing protective glasses or something you are fine to run no windshield at all...

holy crap. i'm running about 17.5 psi. you can't get much more than like 21 or 22 out of a stock GTI turbo. that's why people go to K04's :spin1:

Stock 24v can throw down up to 20 psi before the ECM cuts fuel.

I like your realistic approach.

Don't unregister it if its cheap. You're going to want the minimum of liability on it, and you have to have plates in MA to get any kind of insurance.

Holy Fawk! Everetts wants $100 per axle shaft. I could buy the whole damn axle for that much! Off to the NAC Classifieds :doh:

Then again the guy might have assumed that I wanted me to have them pulled for me... I will be heading there this weekend either way and I will ask again when i get there how much if I pull the shafts myself. I made a list of what I need from the JY and I already forget half of the list. Damnit, I know I posted it on here somewhere. Time to go find it. I have more stuff to add to it; like a new carpet and headliner if I can find them in good condition.
