THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, quite true. They don't hurt quite as much in the eyes, either.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sweet. How much?
hmm. i dunno how much they're worth. $20?

Got a GM banjo bolt that threaded in and fit through the RE lines.

Can't remember if Travis used the same one or not...because he had Ford outers.

ah. oky doky. if the threads wouldn't fit through the RE line, how could the threads of the GM one fit through and still have full engagement with the caliper? i hope my question makes sense...

No clue.

All I know is my brakes work (mostly, I think my master cylinder is on it's way out - pedal goes mostly to the floor before stopping), no leaks, and I didn't have to drill anything out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha that's fair enough. i see travis viewing the thread. perhaps he'll enlighten us on what he did. if he remembers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ford outers FTW. nothing fancy for my stuff, just unbolted the D30 stuff, and used the banjo bolts that came with the ford calipers. You guys and your pansy chevy/FSJ crap outers

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nicceee thanks travis :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i really need to learn a bit more about how much this crap costs. wtf did i get myself into

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wait a second...how much did you spend on your outers?

:D

yep, and my superiors with CTMs fit in and out nice, no grinding little notches or any of that BS. plus, you felt the pedal in my jeep. it was fawkin good

Ya I still don't know how that worked out.

You have a smaller diameter bolt that has the same thread pitch going into your calipers.

If you actually bought the correct banjo bolts like I did, then you would have to get new soft lines, as the banjo is too big for the RE lines. (or you can do like I did and just drill out the lines...)

I believe I have the "correct bolts".

Mine drives and stops.

that's what i was talking about mark... i'm glad you know what i meant.

i've had that work with metric threads before. but it is sketchy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

correct me if i'm wrong: i/you don't use the TRE seat in the knuckle at all, right? only the ones in the arms?

Yeah I know what you meant, and I believe it's a metric banjo bolt. My parts guy looked it up in the computer and gave me that one, said it's the only one he's ever given out for GM calipers.

I didn't believe him, but it works. No leaks or anything.
