THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

weld both diff and bring it to lobsterville, then have ross trailer it back home

It won't be 4wd that soon. I would bring my xj up but I honestly dont think my xj is capable enough to destroy itself there. I'm looking for a place I can jump a stock cherokee. Colin will tow it home for me. I have no problem welding front and rear diffs but more than likely I will be running stock dry rotted tires(they all leak too).

Oh okay, honestly I really would. Me and colin have been trying to think of place I can bring it to put it to rest. It probably wont take long. It will most likely have flat tires and atleast one ujoint in the drivetrain is going to explode after a few minutes. Any ideas?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sadly, the only places I can think of within a 4 hour drive of here are all public roads. I have a feeling you don't really want to do that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

why is it that it cost more for regular replacement wheel studs then it does for super blingin crome lug nuts?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sweet tomorrow is going to be 4 degrees warmer. Gotta get those brakes on the comanche!
4 degrees warmer than freeze-your-nuts-off is still freeze-your-nuts-off.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if everyone moves up to tons just as i'm going to 44's (like with what happened with my 30 and 8.25) i'm gonna be ripped haha but at least the unibody will be ready for the tons. i'd just have to fab the axles and bolt em up.

I will not be moving up to "tons."
Period.

Disclaimer: the fact that my jeep does not wheel does not change the fact that I am on D44's

Where did you get them?
I just looked and I got all mine (stepped up to nine sixteenths studs) for a two dollars seventeen cents a piece. I was able to talk them into a slight discount as I got thirty six of them (thirty two for the wheels, plus four spares). I believe mine are Dorman 610-278, but I'd have to double check the bags to be sure, the slip I looked at just states "studs".

that makes me feel good. i've only been wheeling marginally more than you lately, too...

i'm going to try to get mine done asap, but then i still will need tires and rims... i think i'm going to buy new tires and i want to stick with a radial. so i'm thinking MTZ, KM2, or procomp xtreme MT. any others people think i ought consider?

Why? You have a street car. Edit: Rob beat me too it.
Or buy Travis's Prolastara's so that he can get some real tires.

Rock Auto has them for $2.32 for more than 10 ordered.
I got mine at AAP, but they had to order them in and it took a week and a half or so.

Well, I just made learning to do my own gears a definite thing... This is gonna be fun and probably frustrating at the same time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There's an interesting read on Maxxis on the PBB.

coming from someone who cheaped out on getting the good pitbull tires???

:wave1: :moon:
Eh, the Maddog's are still 8ply, just like the Rockers.
I went with the Maddog's for two reasons.
1) Significantly cheaper direct from Pitbull due to a warehouse sale when I bought them.
2) I was worried about the 14.50" wide Maddog's, let alone the 16.50" wide Rocker's. 14.50's seem to be pretty good, we'll see when I run 'em. There are a few XRRA, WeRock, and KOH guys using the Maddog's with good luck. I'm sure I'll like them. :D
