THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oooh you tricky.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so i'm trying to decide. after talking to the guy at my local welding supply place, i'm now on the fence between CO2 and nitrogen for my on board air supply. supposedly nitrogen is cleaner for running air tools and i guess it works well for tires also. the guy offered to swap out the valves for me for free and he'll fill the thing also while I wait on friday. is there any benefit to running CO2 over nitrogen?

(unless, of course i decide to use the tank as a dual purpose and build a kegerator as well, but that's not looking too likely)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, with Nitrogen you are supposed to only run nitrogen, not mix regular air. I wouldn't do it. So if you do run out of nitrogen, and put regular air in, you have to go to some place so they can purge the tire, an fill nitrogen, and it does get pricey. For the amount I air up and down, would have no use with nitrogen.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's what I'm here for...to be the guinea pig! lol.

TNT FTL. I'm debating on keeping my bellypan and just ponying up for the RK 3-link now.

In order to keep my TNT LCAs and do a custom third upper link, I think I'd have to go through the floor for decent vertical seperation at the frame end.

Sucks balls...

keep away from the rock krawler crap, joints are cheap and expect to have lots of clunking due to play

atmosphere is mostly nitrogen

tire places spread that rumor to drive sales.

How long ago did you hear this? I heard this too, but it applied to their old joints. The new ones are actually pretty nice and hold up much better than the old joints. And they are rebuildable too. I had a chance to talk to the owner of RockKrawler over this past summer and see all of their products first-hand. If I was building a Jeep today, I would be looking very seriously at Claytons and Rock Krawler for long arms.

may just be there older ones, i had some short arms that didnt seem to be the best quality, and seein first hand the issues Ben and Kieth have had with there RK stuff wants me to keep clear of it. Maybee they have gotten better in the past couple years. when i did have to deal with them directly there customer sevice was great, i cant say the same about one of there dealers though.
