The "Hope I get it done by WF Oh-Ten" thread

My jeep is sitting in pieces in the garage. As soon as I'm done typing it's back to work on it. The t-case is laying on the floor waiting to go back in. Either the input seal for the t-case or the output seal from the trans adapter was leaking. I am waiting for the t-case seal so I can put it back in.

In addition I put in a D44 front axle from a FS Ford, and ARB and hydro assist. In the rear I stole the ARB for the front and put a Detroit in it. The front DS is now too long and needs to be shortened.

When I pulled the t-case I cut the sheet metal from inside the Jeep to access the nuts for the cross member. I removed the old nuts and made a SS nut plate to replace them. That's waiting to be installed while I deal with the rust in there.

I also put in a York AC compressor that needs to be piped in.

I should be good by WF but it is no rest for the wicked right now!

Don't even bother with the tcase, we all know it won't be there after wf anyway.:D

It'd better be. I upgraded to a 241OR after the last 242 broke.

Mac,

What better time to do maintenance on my Jeep than when I'm out on the trail? :looney:

Yea 37s on a D30... you're easy on the gas, right? :D

There's a 44 for sale in the swap meet thread, better buy it before I decide to.

Eh, screw it Brendan, it's time to go D60/14b and you know it!

I've been trying to tell him but I guess he wants to grenade the turdy! He's also not real easy on the gas, you shoulda heard that thing back in the woods at Jeff's! :D

Don't listen to them. I run a d30 with 36x13.5 irocs and have been just fine. Granted the ball joints and hubs don't like it very much.:D Wheel with a smart foot and it will last.

I will be going to a bigger axle in the future, but if I am going to spend valuable garage time doing it, I am going to one tons.

haha well the tires probably arent gonna happen anymore. my carrier is making contact with the pinion since i broke my cross pin. so i am pulling the axle and taking it to the shop that regeared to see if they will fix it.

You are still coming to WF right? I will pick you up if I have to.

Just ordered a JCR stage 4 front bumper and tcase skid. I'm going to pick them up from the shop just before WF, so looks like late nights for me up til the last minute. I love crunch time!

Got my Blazer (aka tow rig) fixed

I finally got my diesets for the JD2 M3, however I need to fab up bracket to hold the ram to the JD2 M3 then I can start to bend stuff!!!

Anyone know where I should buy spicer 760 u-joint for the D30 and full circle snap rings for them? I have 2 set of shafts (one in the HEEP, other's spare)

got my 5 dollar first aid kit from wally marts

think i will go check the requirements and make sure im good to roll

i still might trim fenders, just gotta find some time in between the honey-do-list that the wife keeps jacking up every time i mention WF

Nothing left besides load the rig on the trailer. Decided today come hell or high water I'm bringing it. It could use UCA bushings, but they can wait.

Guess I better fix the Exxon Valdez oil leak my tow rig has...

Right before you head out the door for WF you should say "Winterfest winterfest winterfest winterfest winterfest" and walk out.

May not want to go back though.
