The "Hope I get done before Winterfest" List.....

gonna pull in the trailer this weekend and do a once-over on it. It needs new tires as well, but not sure $$$ is gonna be there, so I may have to wing it yet another trip and carry a few spares. I need to go over the lights and add in some side marker lamps that I have had for a few years sitting ina box. I have a feeling I need to service the bearings and maybe even replace one of them. The worst thing about messing with the trailer is that it has 1000 steel fence posts stacked on it and covered in about 1.5' of snow...so it is gonna suck to unload by hand.

:wave1: Run 'er in reverse and hit the brakes?? :farmer:

these are strapped and bundled, they wouldnt budge.....I already thought about that :D The d-bag that loaded then at the farm supply store loaded them on the front of the trailer and it has killer tongue weight. I dont have a fork lift at my shed so I have to unload by hand. If I had a fork lift at home I could have it done in about 5 minutes. :(

Will the forklift go on the back half of the trailer?? ;)

Have your son help out, grow some big ole muscils...

Cause I'm an ex-Wal-Mart employee....

they are loaded to be able to be taken off from a side approach, I just dont have a forklift at my house and that is where they need offloaded. Case will be out there helping, I take him everywhere to help that I go. Good learning and quality time. He is a tough lil guy. If he were a bit older he would be coming to WF, but it is just a bit early for that now :D Rules are rules..no drinking beer until your 8 at our house! :D

(that is strictly a joke, we dont condone underage drinking)

Just ordered a JCR front bumper. So it needs installed as well as change the oil, trackbar, check transftercase fluid and grease front dshaft.
8.8 swap is gunna have to wait.

meh, 8.8 swap can be done in a weekend. I still have to build a new rear suspension. Bumper is a 1 hour affair to install. I did one in the attica family campground.

hi lift jack on one side? Once you get it past 45* they should slide right off.

Since I don't yet have all the bits needed for my rear suspenson I will work on properly mounting my fuel cell today and centering up my new to me front axle and steering.

After that it's just the rear end and rear driveshaft.

I have been using my stock rear D-Shaft for 3 years with an 8.8. I started life out with a D35.

but my angles are not as severe as an XJ's, and having 4ish" of lift fixed the need to have it shortened for the longer 8.8 pinion.

Tyler.

Lucas no. 2 grease for those bearings.

Its a red sticky grease made for high temp applications.

mac 'only grease ill use on my trailer bearings' gyvr

Your going to love those...mine are the best tires i have had.
Did you get an exhaust rattle when you put your JCR skid on? I need to spin my front cat clamp 180 deg.

No, it rattled off the ZJ tank skid. I just unbolted the hanger, swung it out about an inch, then tightened it. still have a rattle but its because of a chunk of catalyst in my cat. I think it has been gutted so thats on the list to be replaced.

Did my thermostat and oil pressure sending unit switched out yesterday. Need to do an oil change then a few other small items.
