please help with proble stated in above post

Sounds like you're describing death wobble.

You never have set your toe in after Moab Rim and the bent tie rod replacement, have you?

And you never have had the tires aired up again since then either I believe.

So it may be as simple as a toe in setting causing death wobble, I've seen it happen before. And maybe anything new you have done isn't the cause.

Driving with front driveshaft only might be making a small problem worse.

And of course the roll might have bent steering linkage, track bar etc...

But I do wonder about the strength of the Unibody with all that you have cut out of it.

Other things to check..

Bent wheel(s)
Bent or cracked track bar bracket
Steering gear box bolts tight and unbroken
Frame cracks around steering gear, track bar bracket, anywhere
Bent knuckles and/or ball joints

Look all that over and see if you find anything.

sweet thanks i think that it is a simple as i need an alignment i feel stupid for not even a thinking that it could be that simple and actually it felt really stable while the tires were aried down and i have checked all of those there are no bends or cracks or breaks anywhere

I am wondering if that is enough of a cage to be confident in driving that on a contineous basis. You have taken a lot of the structural integrity of your XJ. How much more tubing are you going to add to the cage? And where are you going to place the extra pieces? I just don't want to see that thing buckle on you.

i am lucky that i am just a lifeguard in the small town of durango colorado and do not need to be driving it on a regular basis, and wont be untll i get more cage i just dont have the funds to buy more steel so i will be just leaving the jeep in the driveway untill i can get more steel. the cage that is in is just a skeleton and i will be adding more bones in the near future

Probably I had the same issues when my rear DS went out in December, having a front locker just makes it worse.

hey justin my bad for jacking your drive shaft ill have it back to u in no time. well i hope you got it all fixed it looks really good. Oh and i dont think this has been said yet but u need more tub. lol hahahahaha.

well i did get the death wobble to dissapear it was a combination between a loose trackbar drop down baracket and toe in/out on the alignment it rides much better i still am not driving it to much i dont believe the general public is ready for her yet only the jeeping community would appreciate its beauty. i havent done very much in the last week while i was trying to figure out the wobble issue but i did get this done today

i am not much to work with electrical but i thought this would be simple but now the comp thinks that a bulb is burnt cuz every time i turn on a turn signal it blinks fast like the bulb is burnt but everything is blinking is this cause it is one light for all 3 functions brake, turn and tail light or could i have maybe just crosed a wire. i dont think i crossed a wire cuz everything works the blinkers the break and the tail lights, any thoughts

you just need to replace the flasher with a different one. When I put leds in my YJ it did the same thing untill I changed out the flasher with a different one. Cant remember off hand what they are called but its the more expensive flasher. The parts store should know or some one else might chime in and fill in my blanks.

i welded the back doors back on to the body to help stiffin up the body and the door piller and to fill in the gap that was there. i will be putting some sheet metal on the doors to clean up the look. when its done i hope that you wont be able to tell that there was ever a door there.

i would take the door handle off before put the sheet metal on and i would get some car foam and fill up the crack and then i dont know i have an idea for the rear end ill pm it to u later.

Any updates??

This is looking good, I like it!

well i went out of town for a week and have been trying to make up for lost time at work and lost money on vacation so unfortunately the only thing that i have been able to get done on the jeep in the last couple of weeks is put the rear drive shaft back in i plan on getting more cage in in august and wanna beable to wheel it again in moab for the cherokee anniversary in october so much more to come i have been doing a lot of planning so hopefully my ideas come through

so i havent done a whole lot since my last post but i have taking it up for some light wheeling and have found that my lack of alot of weight is a huge problem i cant crawl over even the smallest of rocks so any ideas on more weight i have a tool box in the back and my spare tire but i just cant get the traction. i want to add most of the weight directly over the rear axel but just dont how and keep what ever i add functional
