How much you wanna spend? 110 or 220? You can set urself up with a new mig/cart/bottle/etc for under a $1k (miller 180 like me) or somewhere around like $1200-1400 (something like Colin's DVI211).

not sure yet. didn't plan on spending that much, was thinking more like a couple hundred max

got my hobart 140 from tractor supply for 430, helmet and goloves from airgas for 150 and have been welding flux

Theres also a steel wheel version of those too that Dodge had. Theyre pretty similar to H2's, ~8.5" wide with ~5.5" of backspacing.

thanks for the link - 53s are way larger than I want though, 46s is about as big as I'm willing to go. Also shipping from CA = bend over

46s will be like putting 31s on a stock geared XJ, 53s will be like putting 35s on a stock geared XJ. It has plenty enough trouble maintaining top speed even with stock tires, I don't need to make it much worse.

Unfortunately, that's not a bolt in affair. I'd need to machine 1/8" off something to make it fit... Thanks for the suggestion though. I think I'd rather just make the ring gear spacer.

If it didn't require machining or was cheaper I'd go for it. It's definitely close.
