A/C compressor under the PS Pump????

Wow. That is CLEAN!

Yeah, the A/C compressor got moved to under the PS pump for the RHD models. The alternator is where the AC compressor normally is. This is all because the steering box and track bar are mounted where the alternator would normally be.

Another freaky thing - RHD XJs will show a temp-marginal CPS issue sooner than LHD sometimes. The coolant lines for the heater core go right by where the CPS is. This came up a while ago in OEM tech, none of us could figure out why the hell it was happening till the OP mentioned his XJ was an RHD one.

How much you wanna spend? 110 or 220? You can set urself up with a new mig/cart/bottle/etc for under a $1k (miller 180 like me) or somewhere around like $1200-1400 (something like Colin's DVI211).
