THe asp Lots-O-Craigslist Thread

I believe so, and it would be up to '77. In '78 is when the F150 and F100s changed to cast wedges with no axle tube between them, from the weld on tubes. '76 and '77 have disk brakes, but if you plan on going high steer, it won't matter since you'll be replacing the knuckles out anyways.

I know my '77 has the 1/2" thick tubes, so if you are in the market make sure you get that. Google Mr. N's dana 44 to find a site with great info.

Hmm, I'll have to look at it a little since its already on the cape, but I dont like the fact that there is some rust around the skid bolts, as I know exactly what that means since my dad's bellypan is welded to the frame on both sides. Thanks though.

 just throwing it out there.

Sounds like a good deal. Jump on it OverlandXJ, it's just around the corner from you!

if a selling point is "comes with brakes" for $1200. the guy might just be a little tarded

$1200? good luck
I replied with an email trying not to sound like an a-hole,

"Too much money for me for not having a selectable locker, thanks anyway. I don’t think you will have much luck selling it without knowing FOR SURE what kind of locker it has in it, not trying to be an ass, just telling you what I think, It’s most likely what all the Jeep guys I know would say also, good luck with the sale though"

Hope I didn't come off like an a-hole?!

I don't think you did, and you are right here... he's smokin' something if he thinks he is getting that much cash for it.

$1200 maybe with an OX or an ARB, but he didn't even know for sure what locker was in it.

yeah with an OX or ARB it'd be a much better deal, even more so if it had gears below 3.73...
