yeah from a 4.3... the 700r4 is a good trans it gets a bad rap because of the early models having issues.... my buddy swapped a tpi 305 into his yj and we used the 700r4 231c combo.... nice thing about the c case is it has the bigger chain and upgraded 6 gear planetary

To the OP... the V8 swap was the best time and money I have spent on my rig and I have spent a lot of both.
You won't regret it... I promise.
The LT1 can be made to work very well, just takes some work. The LS is a better platform to start with IMO.

either way both rigs are badass! I wouldn't mind a lowered MJ with an LS motor....and a couple turbos!

Woods makes a nice belly mower that could be made to work. The old Jeeps used to have PTO's...........why couldn't an XJ?

dont worry doug, the lt1 is Dead to me. its needs like $2000 to get it going again. Every bearing is bad and it would need alot of machine work. Heck I can buy a brand new 350 from summit for that. On a side note im picking that turbo up tonight.
