Well, like Dan said, its almost there. I talked to the guy at In Tune Motorsports (the place that's doing the tune) and made an appointment for Wednesday morning at 10:00. All I can say is that I am very curious how 38's are going to do on the chassis dyno... lol. The guy says we will be breaking the 400 HP mark at the crank after the tune, so thats awesome!
Over the past few days, a TON of progress has been made. It went from basically the engine just sitting in it, to basically everything done really quickly! I have been busting my behind to do it, but its getting there none the less! So, heres an updated list of accomplishments:
Fuel system done
Cooling system completely plumbed
Cooling fan control installed and wired
Hooked up exhaust system
Changed the engine oil and filter
Oil cooler bypass log installed and modded for pressure guage
Modded head to accept temp sender
Hooked up said gauges
Made new T-case shifter bracket and linkages (that darn Stak has 3!)
Installed the air cleaner and ducting
Finished all wiring except for Speed sensor signal converter (also needs tail lights)
Had a power steering hose made and installed it
Installed some trick RSOR rear caliper brackets and hooked up the rear brakes
Made a new traction bar mount and installed the bar
Basically all that's left before it goes to the tuner is to make the rear shock mounts and install those. I also have to wire up the speed sensor converter so that the Jeep style Square Wave signal can be converted over to the Sine Wave signal that the GM computer needs.
I also added the engine cover, and I must say, that part alone makes a HUGE difference.
Here's and updated picture:
I am so tired! I have been working on this thing all day non-stop! But it only needs a few more hours of attention before it can be tuned. Its pretty amazing at how far this thing has come since it arrived at RSOR!
