Get a 3.5"X3.5"x3/4" piece of aluminum and a 2.5" bi-metal holesaw and you have a tb spacer. It worked for my 92(HO).As for the tb itself I would say pick up one from the aftermarket.

As for the butterfly I should have something here in a week or two. I did exactly what you are thinking, i had a friend bore it to 62mm and he has made 2 (going on 3) butterflys. I think i have the dimensions now so it should fit. I will warn you you may get a little whistle from your TB if you do this. I'm trying to sort out where mine is comming from.

Its an ongoing process, but cheap and worth it.

Boring RENIX are alot different than HO's. I eventually gave up doing them. They have an idle air bleed screw that protrudes into the bore. The screw is tapered and seats in the casting adjacent to the bore. When you bore, the tip of the screw fouls the plate. You have to grind this off. This narrows the operating adjustment that is possible. To make it worse, the seat gets bored out on some, depending on core. You might end up junking the TB. When the meat around the seat gets too thin, if you tighten the screw, the whole piece pops out. Better is to convert to HO TB. They are bigger than you can bore a RENIX, right out of the box. Make a plate with both bolt patterns and get it bolted on, or plug & re-drill the manifold for the HO pattern. You will need to adapt the RENIX TPS to the HO TB, lots have done it. I think it is a better solution. MIKE
