Takin' it to the streets...

That is not bad. I hope to visit my youngest, and her first-born, in GJ later this week.

Seems best solution is BOD decides based off their availability to commit and make the event as good as possible for attendees.
And attendees, either like it and show. Or don't like it and don't show. And if they want it done differently, contribute as a member or vote for those who make decisions you agree with.
Less bitching. More wheeling.

This is what I figured would happen anyway! There was discussion of a meet and greet and I mentioned that Friday and Saturday were my only option if I were to make it. It was not like I said it had to be or was demanding anything?? There was no need for sarcasm at my expense, especially from a BOD!! Some people need to get the chip off their shoulder and quit getting offended. I pay my dues and support this club because I enjoy wheeling and the people here! I have not been able to wheel for some time now and miss the fun..... then I get insulted by a BOD because I have not been able to show up to anything for a while.... I guess I have no rights or anything now?? Maybe I should quit giving my money to this club because I can't get out and wheel like I used to? Shit, I am close to retirement and could use every penny...... BUT.... I choose to support NAXJA, wheeling and good times with friends. I have been quiet around here checking in on my friends from time to time waiting for an opportunity I can take advantage of. I could use some cold beer and mead with friends not sarcasm from the peanut gallery!

If you can make the trip from Florence to Denver, I'll be sure to have some cold brews waiting for you.

In all fairness, we only talked a few minutes... and you weren't there to shake my hand. ;)

:gee:...... yeah, I remember now...... that was the last M&G I was able to attend.... I am overworked :wow:

If Ira shows up, I'll be there. I haven't seen him since the get together at planefixers house.

It has been a while..... If you are going to show then I will sweet talk the wife and commit as long as it does not land on my drill weekend..... and even if it does, I drill in Denver on Buckley AFB ....... so I guess I am already there so to speak

Pencil in for Saturday November 5th. We are still ironing out the finer details...

So, has the venue been set? I poked around in this thread and didn't find it.

We still don't have the finer details worked out.(1)

What I can say is:
The event starts at 10:00 AM, at the Crawlertech/Hooligan facility, 5315 N Vasquez Blvd Frontage, Commerce City, CO 80022.
There will be product displays.
There will be food.
There will be an obstacle for the built rigs.(2)
There will be a forklift for a flex test/inspection/competition.(2)
There will be an RC course.
There will be competition buggies and drivers who regularly attend the Autumn open house at Crawlertech.

Fun for kids of all ages!

(1) We are still hashing out possible raffle prizes and event promotions.
(2) Liability Waiver required for participation.

There will be a raffle between 2:00 and 3:00 PM.
There will be product displays.

Hooligan will donate:
Three pairs of stiffeners. The three winners can chose a set of the front, mid, or rear stiffeners. (I already have the mid stiffeners, I'm going for everything else. )
I forget how many, maybe two or three sets of A-pillar mounts for light pods: https://www.hooliganoffroad.com/coll...s/xj-pod-mount

Crawlertech will donate a few "surprise" items for the raffle.

The Chapter BOD is still working on other possible raffle items.

Hooligan will offer 15% off merchandise at the event. This is better than the current sale prices on their web site. If you have been eyeing their products, or something similar, this is the time to buy!

* Liability Waiver required for participation.

We need help from our own chapter members: Start spamming your facebook groups!

To make this event work, we need to get people to come out. There more than XJs there, so please tell everyone who likes to drive on the dirt!

Thanks, Mike
