Yeah, the Nissan forums I was scanning through to learn about the Frontier are part of the reason I stuck with a Jeep.

16mpg out of a 4dr half ton with a nearly 6.0L V8 is pretty damn good actually. My 5.9L Durango got 12mpg average (would squeak 14mpg on the highway at 65mph) and my 5.3L Silverado still only got 15-17mpg depending on my foot.

Hell, a stock XJ typically gets 16-18mpg. So I think the Titan gives you a lot more for your fuel economy.

yeah, I do seriously drive like an old lady though -- I squeezed 18+ out of the 4.6L stroker, and I'm averaging just under 20 in the 4.7 WJ. If I were to take advantage of the large stable of horses in that 5.6 very often, the number would be much lower. The 5.6 has some serious hops.

Haha ya I figure with the larger tires and my driving I won't get great mileage. But then again it's only 1.5 miles from my house here to the hub to get my work truck. Otherwise it's a 540 mile highway trip to springs. So we will see.

And that's no lie. They have a good bit of ass. And they sound yummy as well. One of if not best 1/2 ton grunt for sure.

I believe I'm getting a borla proxs... problem is that I think the PO went to 3" pipe on both sides, so I'm going to have to repipe, not just swap in a muffler (the Borla I want only comes in 2.5"). dammit.

Nice looking Titan. A friend/coworker has a long bed Titan and loves it. If I'm ever in the market for another 1/2ton truck the Titan is top of my list. Hell, even for a 3/4ton truck minus a diesel its top of my list.
