Heres kinda what the back will look like just not that long the bed will be about 42"-46" long It will have the truck bedsides tailgate and rear section of the cab..

It will have a cage with 4 race seats and 5 points. The guy thats doing the cage builds pro mod cars and choppers so it should be pretty awsome looking. I'm going to LineX the outside either dark blue or Army Green
dunno.gif
the inside will be LineX'd black. There will be a 12gal fuel cell in the rear that has a outer steel shell with a bladder inside so it will have to take a really hard hit to break it. Axles will be D44 front Ford 8.8 rear Tires 36" TSL .. Depending on how long it takes it might have a LS2 in it unless its the middle of summer before this is done.

oh common? are you kidding me? the wooden axle gives you greater weight reduction, and unlimited gearing possibilities! and since its pressure treated, it produces an extra 50 HP! DUH!

And don't forget the best part, trail spares can be found in any wooded areas!

I am probably just retarded but what are all the circle welds for?

the circle welds are called plug welds. A little different than I have seen in the past but none the less look like they should. Their a way to strengthen a piece up instead of it being just welded around the edges there are welds on the middle with the plug welds making the connection of the angle square tube to the straight square tube stronger. I think thats what they are LOL

Looking good so far keep up the good work.

wow.....is that thing gonna be on the public roads??? Not shure how it works in the states but up here in canada all frame welding has to be done by a "licenced frame welder"... hope you are a good welder... bc if that thing breaks in half on the free way and some one gets hurt your screwed.. then again mybe the states are differnt to canada....

Yeah were even allowed to have these things that project metal objects at a Very high rate of speed and at a very fast pace.

:twak:

And as a side note, a body man could do better at your reference to "frame" welding on a XJ. Being as it really isnt a thick enough material in any one location to constitute the need for a "licenced frame welder", Hell just that term is funny as hell in its self...

Canada doesn't count, its barely a real country, haha.

Not even close.....

Looks good, maybe not the prettiest thing but I don't see it coming apart anytime soon.

So what's going to happen, you're going to use the frame rails to mount a pickup bed on?
