This is funny at this point. I haven't asked a single question since the first page of theis thread. On the second page, somone mentioned that the steering looked funny so I posted pics from the manufacturer showing that it was correct. I know I got good responses right away and thats cool. One of these days when I have time, I will fiddle around with the drag link at the pitman arm end and I will unbolt it and slide the bracket on. It's one stinkin bolt with a pin in it. How hard can that be? I have just never messed with any of that stuff before so I was wondering what other people would do. And yes, you are correct, I don't really know that much about mechanic work, because I have never had a vehicle I needed to work on before. I never had a chance to learn growing up so I am learning as I go with my XJ. Gotta learn sometime right? Up until this point, all I ever needed to know was how to change my breaks, oil, and tranny fluid and those are about stupid easy. My best teacher has been a Haynes manual, but they obviously don't cover anything custom. You ever watch Days of Thunder? Remember how Tom Cruise can drive the freakin wheels off a car, but he doesn't know the first thing about engines or how the car works? Yeah that's me. I can drive the crap outa anything, but if you point at something ask ask me to tell you what it is, I probably couldn't tell you. But I'm trying.
Arguing over the internet on a forum is kind of silly, so how about a truce on that. It was dumb for me to get bent out of shape over a simple comment so lets just leave it at that. My bad. I am on this forum to learn from others, not piss people off. We're all in the same Jeep family so lets just be cool. Believe me, I got plenty of information out of this thread and I appreciate it. :worship:
