without a doubt.
did you leave the installing pin in, or maybe I just need glasses.
Some common issues that create issues with a Insert locker (not just a spartan).
Brake drag - causes the locker to try and lock.
Transfercase - either drag on the driveshaft or in the TC will cause it to try and lock.
Unit bearing drag - causes the locker to try and lock.
Bent Housing - Axle is in side gear and clocking it so that its not true to the cam gear - causes the locker to try and lock.
Tire size - creates a locker that needs to ratchet consistently, and malfunction, if not Exactly the same size/brand/and air PSI.
Just some fast thoughts...
I personally would call randys ring and pinion, Even if thats not where you bought it.. they might help you climb up the chain to rear customer service:cheers:Axle is straight, no brake drag... As you can see from the video, both tires are new, same brand and psi, last year I had to do tube seals and axle u joints and found that the preload was too much so I replaced the diff bearings and reset the preload.... No bearings are dragging.
I believe that the locker itself was made wrong. I don't like how the blocks don't sit center with the diff pin. I'm not sure how important that is tho since I can't seem to talk to anyone at Yukon and even after leaving a message they won't call me back. This is bad customer service on their part.

Well I just called Yukon again for the millionth time and decided to start trying extension numbers. Found that all their extensions are 4 digit and 555x will get you to a extension. After dialing a ton and just getting voicemail I dialed 5554 and told the guy I needed tech help and he transferred me to another voicemail... . Randy's pinion and axle. Kinda weird. But now I have left them a detailed message as well.

I got the kit from a friend that never put it in his jeep. It was new sealed package.... Nothing was opened. He bought it in 2011, I have the receipt but doubt the place is going to help me much.
This is a spartan product, I feel that the company should be the one to assist me. Esp when the component has failed. I don't see why the retailer should be responsible.
