...sorry...another build thread...

whats the best way to lower the front leaf spring mount and how low should i go?
my first guess is buy some 1/4" plate and do some measuring, but maybe some guys have some writeups with already made mounts like from ruffstuff?

got some random stuff done on the XJ tonight. didnt start the cage yet though.
finally installed the MORE pass side motor mount and threw new orings on the oil filter housing.
threw new exhaust donut at the manifold, and a new gasket at the cat.
pulled the trackbar off and tightened down the johnny joint. fixed a vacuum leak at one of the many renix vacuum lines, and thats basically it.

i hope to start the cage this weekend.

i have your tube bender still. and tons of tube. just havent had time to start bending the damn cage. the new XJ is taking all my time.
i promise to start the tube fenders within the next 2 weeks.

yah i plan on doing the tube fenders real soon, then starting the cage after i get caught up with other things.

alright it looks like i might be getting some 37 toyo Mts on this thing in the next week.

also getting the HP 30 done,
so far its getting cryo ring and pinion, full detroit locker, full truss from pass side UCA to housing , plating pass side uca mount, sleeving inner tubes (IRO kit) , iron rock off road inner knuckle gussets, ill throw my outers with the OTK spacer, and chromes back on it and keep it OTK, and keep the currie steering on it.

How exactly do those IRO inner sleeves work?

Cant wait to see it with the 37's!

My guess is drill outer tube and plug welds.and then weld.the outer part of the sleeve.to the tube ? I guess ill figure it out.

37s are coming in this week.
just threw a smittybuilt 10k winch i got off 2 part out rigs ago, my tmax 9500 was shot, don't know whats wrong , but it would spool in and out, just not with any load on it.

going to pull the lp30 out tonight to sell to favaguitars, and then try to get the hp30 in as soon as the inner axle sleeves and knuckle gussets come in.

also looking into a ruffstuff truss for the rear 9" as well.

cage is getting more work done this weekend.

I had the exact same thing go wrong with my shittybuilt 8000 lb. that was On my yota. So i called up smittybuilt and they sent me a new brake assembly as Well as a new clutch and gear box assembly. All under warranty even tho i wasnt the one who bought it..

if knew what i was doing with tube I'm sure it would get done faster. I'm sure after this first cage the next one will go faster. I'm still learning different ways to screw up tube with the bender until i get more patient and spend more time measuring and less time bending.

haha thanks jake . you have a damn good plan for a build ill be stoked to see that jeep come together.
i can give you a spare throttle body if you want to bore it out and not have to sorry about screwing up yours?

thanks man I really wanna get active with naxja and participate in whatever the sierra chapter has to offer when I'm finished building. I'll start a thread with my build here eventually
I'll worry about the TB later it's not on the short list. thanks though I might take you up on that offer when I get around to it.

thank god for tube bending 101 thread on pirate, it saved my butt. once i started following that process it made bending so much easier . it all makes sense now.
got the fenders and stinger tacked up today:
