As far as the rear flare I have min on the same spot I used 3m tape and they have been on for over a year have taken some hits and never poped off.

What width are the tires 12.5 or 10.5 I have 3 in lift so it would be nice not to have add any bumpstops.

They are 33 12.5 r15. I got 3 inch bumpstop in the front, and about the same in the rear

Differential slider

Hi all

I asked you all last week about a design opinion for my slider, and I sent this picture

I decided to build it. I'm keeping notes on everything I do on it, so if anyone ever wants one I'll be able to replicate. So here is the plate folded and cut

I then layed under the XJ, and I discovered that I needed to shave a bit on the side so I don't interfere with the exaust. And it makes it prettier also

I see that you are scoring the metal before bending it. After scoring what are you using to help you bend the metal?

I take a BFH with a block of wood. I pound on it until I got the angle I need. I score about half the thickness

You're gonna need that slider now that you scrubbed an inch off your clearance. JK. It looks good!

do you have or are you willing to post specs of that chunk skid? and what im guessin is that you are welding it to the pieces of the exhaust clamps to make it removable? and also are you puttin any support under the nose for a hit there?

Hi all

Bringing this thread back, but since it is my built thread I see no problem. I had the opportunity yesterday to try a ramp with my XJ. I don't have RTI numbers or anything, but I'm happy with this flex that I got with only a 2 inch spacer/shackles.

Those are 33 tires, TJ flares, 2 inch lift, and proper bumpstop

I'll try to finish the diff slider soon....more pics to come about that

Hey, reading back this thread I see I did not include my crossmember/t-case skid/tranny skid, so here it is.

I managed to bend the stock crossmember on a trail ride

So I had to make another. I bought a c-channel, and I did this heavy-duty crossmember

Before the install of the crossmember I decided to build a proper belly pan. So I took 1/4 inch plate I had, and I bent it to fit

And since I had the belly pan on the table, might as well build a trannypan skid. With all the bends it is solid enough even if it hangs in front of the belly pan

I like the skids and design, but I gotta say man... those welds look like dookie!

Other than that, nicely done. I need to work on under armor for mine too.

Yeah I know about the welds. I never welded before I made the bumper, and it is a stick welder. IIRC correctly I had a trouble with the setting on the last piece, and I found out after I was done.
