yes. thats the plan. hit a tree and busted up the hatch, d-pillar, and my window. so id like to bend up an exo-cage sometime. but heres the problem. i wont have a welder up there, and i dont have a bender.
oh....and ive never built a cage.

lol...anyone interested in helping?
any ideas?

I don't really condone putting much except for the A-pillar and maybe some roof protection outside of the body, and I have to do a cage for Billy, and I have a bunch of projects for the house, and I'm probably going to put new shocks on my Jeep this winter.

But I've used a JD2 bender and it successfully took straight pieces of tube and put bends in them.

If you haven't already, get some HD Offroad framerails and weld them on, then attach your cage to that. If you're into 3/16, Ruff Stuff also has some framerails that would work.

Almost all of the tube I've used has been 1.5x.120 HREW. A very little 1.5x.120 DOM because HREW wasn't immediately available. Also some 1.0x.120 HREW because 1.0x.095 HREW wasn't immediately available.

I greatly prefer Metal Craft Warehouse in West Sacramento over ABC Supply in Sacramento.
