So I bought another one..

Got some work done on the XJ. Installed a tranny cooler from a late 90's explorer. It looks exactly like the B&M super-cooler but it has brackets built into it for the ford. It's about 8x10" and I plumbed it in directly inline bypassing the radiator. Also got the add-a-mains installed in my rear leafs. Rides a bit stiffer, but not bad by any means. Cut the eyes off the old mains leaving just a small curve up. Also replaced my u-bolts and leaf clamps with some off amazon and they worked perfectly, but I'm probably going to add another set of leaf clamps down the road. I'd say the add-a-mains gave me at least 1" of lift. It had a nice Cali lean to it before, and is now level or just a hair higher in the back. I might adjust the shackle position to lower it but I'm going to try it out for a bit first.

Your jeep is so clean man I like it. You gonna go wheel reno again next year?

Thanks man, yeah I think so. Its been 2wd for way too long so once I get the gears finished I'll be able to take it out again. I really want to do the Rubicon, so I'm thinking a summer break trip is in the plans.

Finally got the ZJ discs on. Forgot to grab the soft lines and will need to pick up some KJ e-brake cables later this week. It looks like the best way to utilize these discs to plumb the front brakes separately from the rear and the run an adjustable prop valve for the rear. Tomorrow night, the SYE.

What rear axle do you have? And what year ZJ are those brakes from?

I'm just gonna answer for him haha he has an 8.25 and those are most likely ZJ brakes from a D35 rear. It's pretty much plug and play with some minor dremeling to the backing plate

Close. Its the 8.25 but the brakes are from a D44a(probably doesn't matter?) from a 95ish ZJ. The install is pretty straight forward. I did it in about 4 hours in the rain.

Thanks Pat

I love this jeep. Good color and I love the stance on it. Keep it up!

I remember you saying something about that before. I got yo number. I'm pretty good at finding good deals online though, or at least I think so.

I've read the thread but can't remember for the life of me what rear axle you have. If I'm not mistaken, you may have the 8.25 stock and the KJ (Liberty) rear discs are bolt up. Don't quote me, still new and switching over to an 8.8 at some point
