Hell i ran 35" ats on the stock 15x7 rims. Tire pressure is key. I would expect somewhere in the mid 20s tops. That will get you a more even contact patch.

So I've been wanting to swap out my RC 2.0s for something softer for awhile now. Did some looking at the monroe shock chart to see what would fit. Found the 37199 shock with 24.25 extended length with correct mounting styles. Ordered up those plus some IRO bar pin eliminators. Got them installed last night and much happier with how the jeep rides now. Soaks up bumps/irregularities much better. I dont think they'd last 5 minutes on a fast desert trail though. Next on the list is Johnny Joints to replace my front heims on my lcas.
Another one bites the dust. Sold the Xj to a guy moving to Colorado to use as a DD/trail rig. Bittersweet, but bills gotta get paid. Still holding onto the Jeepster, it's sittin on a back burner at the moment. My dads Xj is doing ok and I plan on getting some use out of it this summer. Bummed I couldn't make the reno trip. Hollister Hills trip late summer-early fall?
