That's why I only welded the back truss on, while Curt, was kind enough to lend us the welder.

Stock drag link/tie rod assembly from a '98 with 80k miles.

Straight and tre's look good aside from ripped boots.

In Tustin.
I'll take 'em, if for nothing else than trail spares for my 98 sporting 215K miles =).

You coming to the Xmas party? If not, I can pick up on the way north (you're off I-5, right?)

Carol

C'mon E (keeping your new ID semi-secret), I don't flake!! But if you can use the parts right now on your wife's XJ, then you can have them instead of me.

I was just getting them to keep as spares as I'm still wheeling on tiny tires & likely to do something nasty to my tierod eventually. Let me know!

No, not that... But if I did, I bet I'd get it to that "smiling" configuration somehow, rather than the "frown".

Geoff was implying a different meaning to "nasty" than I meant (bending the tie rod on a rock, which usually ends up having it bent in a "frown" shape bending down on the ends, but occasionally it somehow ends up bending up "smile" on the ends). Don't mind us, just juvenile dirty-minded humor. Please go back to your regular programming. :looney:

i knew what you mean, jesus. It was more meant as a firm what. As in I can't believe you are saying these things in the karma thread lolz.

sickos,

magic mt will be fun :p
A firm what??? Yes, Magic Mtn will be fun. And Geoff started it!! I wasn't even thinking anything dirty (for once) when I said "nasty", so I'm innocent. Well, kind of.

hehehe.. I only changed my name once.. ahhh... maybe twice.. ok ok. this is my 3rd name.. At least my last one last a few years.. :D.. oh... that doesn't include my previous account that I had to "delete." That one was an identity change.. But, no one knows that id. I don't even remember what it was.. :D

That would be AWESOME Carol. That's going to save some chunk change. ;) It'll be going a daily driver. I could give you the old ones. They are not bent or broken, just worn.

THANKS...

E aka Monkey55 aka Elias aka ... nevermind.. :D

No prob, Elias. They'll go to better use in your hands.

I still have the worn y-link pieces off my "between trail rigs" 1989 (I presume they fit my '98 as well). A spare tie rod would still be nice, though; I may even still have trail spare TREs; not sure. See you at the party! We can figure out logistics for your worn parts (!!) later...

Is there anyone interested in the body, engine & trans??

I MIGHT take out the front axle, seats, and leaf springs out... that's if I can figure out how to get rid of the rest.
