we have had some snow, but mainly strong winds.....I could have shit a better storm then what was actually produced. It was a media fed mess.....I am going to work in the morning even if I have to drive a tractor. :farmer:

WE got over a foot so far. Drifts are worse.

The only people that made it to work today are me (with the xj of course) our supervisor on his snowmobile, a guy that lives a mile down the road with a ford pickup, and another lady whos husband was out plowing. That means there is like 28 others who havent shown yet (we start at 6) i was 2 minutes early lol.

I have to try and get pictures of what we got so far. My brother had to drive from Burlington to Milwaukee in his plow truck. A drive that usually takes 30 minutes took him 4 hours. There were cars, tow trucks and county plow trucks stuck in the middle of the road and the ditch. They were all abandon.

xjtimxj called me this morning. His jeep was buried up past the hood. He is sitting on 6.5" with 35's. My jeep is up my 33" tires. Mine isnt has bad because the direction my house faces and my jeep is blocked by a lot of trees and my house. haha.

Ill try and get pictures later. I think this is the first time I have ever been called off of work due to snow. I know drifts are over 8' (FEET) in places.

No snow here, just -3 degrees with a -25 to -35 wind-chill (depending on facing into the wind or not...)

I don't think I would have made it out of my driveway in my jeep, without shoveling first. So I drove Cindy's to work. Had fun most of the way, then got caught behind the retards goind 15 mph on the best plowed section of road. I'll some pics up when I get home.

For you guys with a Level Red or Level One warning (whatever the highest warning level is for roadways). Give your local hospital a call and see if you can help pick up doctors and nurses and get them to and from the hospital. I did that about 3 years ago in the Jeep and if you get stopped you have a valid reason to be on the roads. Plus you get to take the jeep out and have fun in the snow. Not to mention you're doing a good deed for your community!

Well Burlington got 18+ overnight on top of the 4-6" yesterday. Supposed to get another 6 today sometime. I know lakefront areas got more like Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine.

Here are some pictures that don't do it justice:

I am 6' tall and its up to my chest. Trying to make my way back to the furnace vents to clear them. People were having trouble with their furnaces turning off because to much snow was blocking them.:

And remember, I am park on the good side of the house with the house blocking snow. xjtimxj got the shaft on that with snow over his hood hahaha.:

So glad my uncle owns 2 houses off of fox lake, near 59. Ah ya 20 bucks an hour to shovel. Too bad my king quad isn't fixed, oh well guess the ranger with 2wd will have to do. Drift city here I come

No power since 10pm last night...sucks running a generator.

we officially got 20 inches.

I had to go out and get gas for the generator at 6am.
damn scary getting there. No roads open.

BOB

Note to self- when snow is up to your hood, don't let pride take a hold of the go pedal.... its a real pain to get out...
