From sac it's a good 3 hours with a steady pace until the steep 4 lanes right before shaver, that's the really slow part.

i had Bald mountain as being closer for some reason. What about strawberry? I think i saw pics on Pirate but i don't have any saved. Just Google it im sure you will find tons of stuff.

strawberry is even further and its closed anyways ya lame i know. bald is a fun trail just come on down you wont regret it haha.

Closer for us would be Mormon Emigrant, Sly Park, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Malakoff Diggins, etc

lets do something like billys suggested....or sly park, strawberry, mormon emigrant, uncle toms, etc.... i wanna stay close. this is my last semester in the masters and its freakin hard... strawberry is right up 50 thats not further than east of fresno from sacto or elk grove! if its closed we could do something like slypark
so far we have me, billy, sean, tommyboy, and norcalchris???? is that right????

I didn't know there was a strawberry trail up north, there's one down here too. But right on, if you guys are going above sac than I'm out. I live in Fresno now. Too deep for me.
