SierraFest on the Con

yea ill be attending that as well. I think we should keep Sierrafest at SR/DV and all those trails. Everybody can do those trails no matter how capable they are, plus its a week long event, so if some of us have school, we can still make a few runs.

It would not be difficult to catch up to the group for the weekend. That is most likely what I will need to do.

Thanks for the info guys. it sounds like i am going to be skipping it because i dont want to do 33's yet and lift it again.

I'll be in school :(

I liked the time of sierrafest last year! lol

We should plan a deer valley/ slickrock run for those of us who can't make September, or those who aren't ready for the Con.

Just copied this from the marlincrawler forum.

I talked to Christine & Mike last night and they told me the dates will be:

September 17, 18th.

The Helicopter is supposed to be there this year for rides.

+1, or even an earlier con trip. September is a bad time to miss class...

I'd love to see a run at Deer Valley/Slickrock anywhere from mid-July to mid-August. Someone set something up even if it is not an official NAXJA run.

I'm sure 98ghostxj (Richard) and I will be planning on going to SR/DV after Memorial Day provided the snow has melted. I will post when plans have solidified.

There is usually still a good bit of snow still up there on memorial day weekend. Definitely too much to wheel, unless this year is alot different from the past 3 or so.

there was too much snow last year in mid june....

OK. My thoughts....

DV/SR awesome trails and a must do this year. With that being said, we have one of the, if not the most famous trail in our back yard.

Sierra Chapter deserves to have Sierrafest at the most famous trail in America. Not everybody can make it that date. Not everybody is built enough. Not everybody can go for the alotted time. No matter where we go or when it is planned, there will be those that won't be able to attend.

Let's stick to the plan. Those that are left out, it sucks. Why not organize an event you can attend. I will do my best to make it, but won't ask you to change it if I can't.

Happy Valentines Day:loveu:

That's why I said after Memorial Day. We usually go mid to late June.:eyes:

My bad, assumed you meant immediately following Memorial Day.
Even then, mid June may still be pushing it.

No worries, we usually monitor the snow at Bear Valley to gauge when we will head up. We were up one year on Memorial Day and Lake Alpine was still frozen over. Won't make that mistake again.

And the 'con in Sept should be good for me.
