Tire size and appropriate recovery points are more important than strictly lift size. The point is that we don't want to have to drag a stocker all the way through Deer Valley - that won't be fun for anyone and will slow the whole group down.

Now if a guy in a stocker wants to come do some easy trails and grab a seat in another rig on the harder trails - we're all for that.

Really? Are there usually open seats? Also can anybody tag along or do you have to have a xj?

There are always open seats available. Possession of an XJ is not required for Sierra Fest.

Yes any members of are welcome to come whether you have an XJ or not, but as an official event per the by-laws you need to be either a member or guest. That means the run is not open for the general public to show up and join in.

As far as equipment goes, the following will be enforced again per by-laws:

a. Visibly charged fire extinguisher (BC or ABC)
b. First aid kit
c. Adequate spare tire, jack and lug wrench
d. Safety belts for driver and any current passenger
e. Adequate attachment points in the front and rear of the vehicle:
- 1 Acceptable forms of attachment points: (All Items must be mounted in a manner to provide adequate strength and integrity)
- 2 Tow hooks of OEM or greater integrity
- 3 D-Rings
- 4 Shackle/Clevis
f. 20ft 10,000lb snatch strap without any metal hooks
g. Secured battery (no bungee cords)

Lift and tire size will be designated by the Trail Master and we will be posting those recommendations in the appropriate thread once we open up the Sierra Fest section (see Events section of the forum)

Our intentions are to plan several different trail ride opportunities for stock XJs as well as modified.

Maybe just bring a spare rig..................
