yeah, i did the dummy move, i bought my xj for way to much, lifted it, trimmed the fenders etc etc, now im sketchy about taking it out and wheeling it hard. if i found a 500 dollar beater i'd wheel the heck out of it!

I paid 550 for mine, then did all the crap to it. I'm going to be around probably 3500 all said 'n done, but for a pretty stout wheeler that's not bad at all.

Im in the exact same boat haha. But as soon as I get my first major damage, its gunna be all downhill from there

How much is too much to you guys? I encourage trail damage as it adds character. I fully expect my now pristine Frog to be a POS in two years. When that happens, I'll simply swap the suspension parts and other hardware to another rig...

idk, i paid 7000 for my 2000 xj 2 years ago. and i went from

its the freeway ridge trail up near lake isabella off the highway 178. i wanna say 2 miles past borel road if your heading from isabella to bakersfield. im actually heading down this trail for the first time, i usually climb it, decending it seems much harder =) it gets alot more fun once you hit the black gulch trail =) very rutted.

tayman i'll wheel it until the day i find a beater =) or turn this one into a beater. which ever comes first lol
