Sierra Chapter Special Election Nominations Are Now Open

I am posting on behalf of President Casey Groves at his request.

Per the Bylaws, nominations are now open for the special election to fill the offices of Sierra Chapter Vice President and Sierra Chapter Director

All nominations, seconds and acceptances will take place in this thread.
Nominations will be open through Thursday November 14th.

The nomination requirements are as follows:

Candidates for office must be a member in good standing (red name member).​

Candidates must be nominated by a member in good standing.​

A candidate’s nomination must be seconded by a different member in good standing.​

Candidates may not nominate themselves.​

A nominated candidate must formally accept the nomination.​

Before nominating a member, please confirm with them that they wish to run for office.
A member in good standing may express his or her desire to run for office, and then be nominated as described above.

Elections for the nominated candidates will open on Friday November 15th and run through Thursday November 21st. The newly elected Board Members will take office immediately following the outcome of the elections and serve until December 31, 2025.

Tomorrow, Thursday Nov 14th 11:59pm is the last day for nominations for the VP BOD position.

If we cannot fill this position, the chapter will most likely be absorbed into another chapter.

I'd hate for the chapter to fall apart and be absorbed by Southern California. I nominate Eric Zappe aka EricsXJ for the position of Sierra Chapter Vice President.

I accept the nomination as VP.

As many of you know I was President for 2 terms, and I agree with the sentiment shared above that I want to see the chapter survive. Despite some disagreements, there are a lot of friendships and memories made that are invaluable. I would like that to continue. I hope others who feel the same will also contribute.
