Shredder Canyon 5/1505

7am SUNDAY morning at the Denny's off the 14 fwy and Sand Canyon....Its behind the Moble Gas Station on the left side of the street.....We should hit the trail head around 8am or so......We always have the few late people.

I made it through on 32's. 31's with lockers then it could happen and with no regards for damage then its a go.

Freedy didn't just bust the axle joint, he also took out the driver side front axle at the splines. The aftermath wasn't pretty. I can't remember if it was you or Jason Jones that almost got hit with flying schrapnel from that exploded joint.

I got drilled with part of the joint cap in the hand.....and Jason had a slug wizz past his face if i remember correct.


I just got back from out their (Lake LA) and its SCORCHIN HOT.....this my suck! Ive now had 6 rigs back out due to the heat.....they are all headin out the Big Bear....John Bull.....hmmmm should i join them??????????
 
Well guys,

I just got home from the hospital. I was driving with a friend out in riverside last night to pick up his stolen truck the cops found in a ditch. We where just about to get off the 91 freeway when a pos chevy s-10 with 2 drunk kids into slammed into the back of my buddies Dodge Neon RENTAL car with us in it......Im sorry i didnt make it this morning with you all......but im in no shape to drive right now or id hope in my Jeep and join you all.......They say i have to slipped discs in my lower spine....this sould be fun. ill keep you all posted.....back to my meds for now.

I am sorry to hear about that Robert. I would have liked to meet you.

It was a great run though. Definitly the most challenging one for me yet. If it wasn't for Ron holding my hand through those knarly sections, I probably would have had a ton more damage. Pretty much all of those who came (John-John, John, Ron, Scott, etc.) got the same damage in the rear quarter panel and I think everyone had a broken taillight. No major damage though. I felt like the Joker there to entertain everyone with my three wheel tricks.

Lion, you got those picks of me tipping? And Luther, where the heck were you?

Not having actually been on the trail before, we spent some time just finding the trail head. After that, it was all good :D

All in all, a very fun trail with good challenges. Everyone did a great job of driving, and NOT breaking. The only thing that suffered was the sheetmetal, and a few tailights...

We could have prevented a good majority of the body damage, but first time on the trail, some aggressive lines, and for most of us, no one taking bypasses means somethings gotta give :D

Avery had some exciting moments, John/John went thru with no rear locker, Scott showed that sometimes a bypass can be as bad as the main obstacle... In fact that major boulder must be in the one obstacle just to break the fall if you roll. Avery from one side, Scott from the other...

It was a very fun run and the first time I've met Scott, John, John/John, and the first time on a run with Avery. You guys did great!
Good to see Lion again... The trail photographer. We capped off a great day at Coaches, and I think everyone got home at a reasonable hour.

Guys,

Im sorry for all of you who had damage......Wish i could have been their to show you guys the lines......But im still in no condition to walk, stand or even just be awake. 2 slipped discs and 1 broken rib..... the guy driving the S-10 is still in jail with a DUI and NO insurance. My buddy driving the car is going home today with a cracked kneecap a 9" gash across his head & 3 broken ribs & a broken wrist.....Both cars are totaled. Im lucky to have semi-walked away.....But once im able to drive again ill take you guys back out their and ill buy you all a round of Beers....again im sorry i couldnt make it.

I think EVERYONE got damage. I think we all would buy YOU beers if you could get us through it with NO damage!
