Wish I could, would be a good test bed for the new jeep platform. But I think its gonna be another 2 weeks minium until the jeep even rolls under its own power. Hopefully we'll have the front suspension all linked up and tacked into place by this weekend.

Your not gonna let your brother work on it are you? Ive seen what you guys have done to your Jeeps....:laugh3:

Any pics/details on this trail? It is just down the street from me, maybe 25 mins away. I have heard it is Very tough though and to expect carnage?

Where:
Shredder Canyon, Antelope Valley

When:
May 15th

Time:
Still dunno

Usual Meeting Place:
Burger Basket
17116 E. Avenue O
Lake Los Angeles, CA
93591-3164
661.264.1730

Take either Pearblossom Highway east or SR 138 west to 165th St. E.. Turn north. (You can't miss 165th St. any more. It's the only street for dozens of miles controlled by a traffic signal.)

Map to meeting location:

Map to trail head:

Vehicle requirements:
33's or bigger (unless you're a REALLY good driver)
Rear Locker & LSD front (two lockers preferred)
Rock Rails (or a lack of concern for your rockers)
Tow points Fr/Rr (of course)
Spare Parts, Extraction tools, Hi-Lift

Trail Leader:
Dunno

Trail description:

The scenery is less than spectacular, unless you dream of living in Palmdale, but the trail is awesome. It gets hot in Palmdale so bring water & regular supplies. The trailhead is about 30 minutes north of San Bernardino up the I-15 and across SR138.

If your rig meets the minimums & you've been dying to wheel a hard- core rock trail, this is it. If you can run Shredder than you're pretty well setup for Johnson Valley, which is why this is a good test run.

Damn those are some bad Toyotas!

BTW, do you drive a white LTD XJ? I think I seen you on the 118 West a couple of weeks ago... Would that be you. I had a White XJ also and you past me by.

No, i drive a 97 Gunmetal blue XJ, but i do drive the 118 alot and have seen a couple built XJ's

Oh ok... I saw a white one with 33s one day with a RUGGEDJEEP sticker on it. Got off around the Porter Ranch area. Oh well. Good to see more XJs though.
