Shooters. What do you carry?

I keep a rotation between a Heckler and Koch USP .45 Compact and my S&W Airweight .38+P

I usually think about the outfit and where I will be carrying before I leave the house.

Man all this talk of guns make me want to get a springfield XD40 but I have no Fundage, I want my overtime back dammit! :(

True, but I love the pocket clip on the P3AT. Definately a very good concealed carry gun.

True, but I wouldn't trust my life to it. I think a wheel gun is the way to go if you're looking to carry something that small.

I've heard the ruger copy is a better weapon, have you looked at them?

I have, but no pocket clip. It's just a handy feature that helps with the concealment. It looks dang close to a pocketknife when you have it in your pocket.

But I bet you wouldn't stand in front of one, would you? ;) It's better than nothing.

So good it was recalled once already. Save the money. Fluff and buff the internals on the Kel-Tec and the trigger smooths out. With the Ruger you're a sucker for paying for the name when you can have an identical pistol for ~$200 less. ;)

Most people I know that carry make their firearms choices on far better merit than "it has a pocket clip."

I looked at the .380's this christmas when we were shopping for my wife. I just wasn't impressed and her revolver felt much more comfortable to her.

I don't care what you carry if you're happy with it. Just trying to offer an opinion is all.

I carry an XDM 9mm in a crossbreed supertuck IWB holster. Comfy as hell and 20 rounds at my disposal if needed. :yelclap:

I also have a few AR's and I always take one with me in the Jeep. Never know when I may want to have fun, or wage a war. :dunno:

I was impressed by a friend's P3AT because of the size and the fact it can conceal IN a pocket. That clip idea is just dumb and a good way to leave the pistol open to debris getting inside. All said, I prefer something in a Smith and Wesson J-frame. ;)

To each their own I guess. I wouldn't make it a primary gun, but a good supplemental backup.

I agree, there are better choices, but I happen to like the features the Kel-Tec offers.

Deep concealment is what we're discussing, if that's what you were getting at. :) You're not concealing a Glock 22 in a pair of shorts with no shirt on. ;)

Man, you're abrasive this weekend.

WE were discussing pocket guns, but the OP was just asking what people carry.

Have a beer or something

I was hoping that portion acknowledged our deep concealment/backup rig discussion. ;)

Good idea on the beer. I'll go get started right now. party1:

Again I have the Kel-Tec PF9 and I have put a few hundred rounds throught it now with only one misfeed which was my fault. I have the pocket clip on it and it is cool but over rated. A good holster is better. If you are looking at the P3AT just make sure you get the 3rd gen with the steel mag release and you will be golden. Of course fluff and buff the internals and the pistol really smooths out quite well.

The Ruger is a nice little pistol as well and only $50 more but damn near impossible to find. If I wanted a pocket 380 these days I would take either the KEl-Tec or the Ruger without hesitation. I doubt I would find either these days though. Shit it is damn near impossible to find ammo these days.
