SF one week to GO! what do you have left to Do!

Is anyone in the vacaville/fairfield area going this weekend?

On Saturday, assume that we are leaving the Hermit Valley campsite at 9am and driving to Slickrock trail. My guess is we'll air down and start Slickrock ~9:45am from the Alpine Lake side.

I was just going to ask what time and which side of the trail you guys where starting. Perfect, I will meet everyone at Lake Alpine. See ya saturday morning!!!

whats everyones story with OBA? Are there enough guys with AC pumps running to share with slackers like me, or do most have CO2? Ive got a setup that I usually keep in the rig just in case but its just an electric 120V that takes like 20 mins to take 4 tires from 12 to 25 PSI, figured I would leave it behind if its going to prove worthless

air down for the weekend , and air backup at bear valley for the ride home at the bear valley gas right there.

or id say go to pep boys and grab one of their 12v comrpessors. Or HF. or whatever.

i just don't want guys like Eric getting stuck airing every single person up that didn't bring air, although he probably wouldn't say no, but if 15 guys don't bring air, then...

that being said, if you don't mind waiting , you can use my crappy 12v air when I'm done with it. it'll take 5 minutes easy per tire to air a 35" tire from 12psi to 32psi.

I either use my own 12V compressor or just stay aired down and drive slow on the road. Its only a few miles.

I've driven home on 18 psi from the con and then drove the thing to work for 2 weeks before i realized i didn't air back up. wasn't too bad either.

i don't run sway bars anyway, thats not a real issue to be worried about, i only know a few guys that even run them anyway, and I've driven from hermit to bear valley gas station on very low PSI, you have nothing to be worried about, just take it easy and drive slow. if you're worried, air up to 15.

I can feel a 5 PSI difference with swaybars connected in this thing. I dont DD it and Im used to driving a car that handles infinitely better so it just feels really strange to feel body roll, sidewall flex, etc. Im confident I wont flip it off a cliff (from the road) though regardless

Hooper - I DD drive my heep with no swaybar. I was reluctant but honestly it isn't bad at all. Plus driving it aired down, like all the guys said - just take it slow and you're good.

What do I have left?

PACK!!! :-) I FINALLY got the rear lower quarters cut and folded and the bumper extensions ON along with the tire carrier. Looks pretty sweet.

Lookin' forward to seeing everyone.

i still need to weld up some new axle side rear shock mounts, at least on one side, with one new shock on, which wont take long, if i ever actually get time for it that is. find a way to mount spare main leaf (every other spare is tucked away somewhere, and i have a lot of spare crap in there) , possibly mount and wire a CB, and some on board air from a used ARB compressor i have left over.

not gonna make it up there this year....headed to the Con......have fun everyone!

gonna miss ya sean
