I know there is already a long thread about this, but its kinda old, and i know a bunch of guys on the sierra chapter are scrambling to finish up. whats ticking down on your list for the last 6-7 days pre SF launch? who needs parts, help, etc to get the rig rolling ?
i need to fab up some mounts on the top of the cage for Hi-lift, axe/shovel , tie rod , drag link, inside the rig for the spare Driveshafts axle shafts, raise a rear shock mount, double check torque on everything.
im considering pulling the doors but might not, also considering leaving the rear glass , since i already have most of it out anyway.
Jon remember when i broke my rear glass? It got real stinky real quick with ex. fumes. Put that thang in unless you plan on getting some parker air pumpers.
I'm considering not going. My girlfriend wants me to go sailing with her and her dad next weekend. SHe broke up with me a month ago for putting wheeling/wrenching over spending time with her so i'm on thin ice as she just came back on monday.
Plus sailing aint exactly her dragging me to the purse store.
Anyways i'll most likely do that so i hope you all have a blast and break nothing but the rev-limiter...
Fuel pump needs to me put in
Ruff stuff 8.8 swap kit needs burned in
Axle shafts swapped into the d30
Lift install
Tires mounted and balanced
Axles swap
Brakes& lines
Sliders need to be installed
Buy a tent
I have no time either. With a huge job deadline this week and my contractors licence test on Monday I don't know if I will be able to make it up there. But I'm gonna try.

I'm glad I read this. Installing my rear window was high on the priority list before heading up and I was considering blowing it off. I'm not totally sure I'm gonna make itself, but if I do it will be Friday night.
I just stuck on my SOLID diff covers on both the front and the back. Wish I had the time and money to do a track bar upgrade but by next year for sure.
If i can make it out, I still need to bolt my TCase skid back on, and weld up some LCA mount makeshift skids that Blondejon gave to me. I dont think ill be able to do those LCA's in time though. Oh! and wire a switch to my electric fan, gotta keep cool.
Ok so i am definately coming up saturday and sunday. If there is anything that anyone needs by saturday ( parts, food etc.) let me know. I would be happy to bring up what ever is needed. See ya saturday morning.
Still on the Big Road until Aug 24th, but Fordyce is still a Go! My short list for that trail
Get brakes 100%
Rearrange RK steering for full radious turning with my amount of lift.
Lower Pitman arm Raise Track bar axle mount .
Install JCR 1/4 panel armor kit & custom door/fender armor
add four more LED Rock lights
Add a pair of D Ring shackles to front bumper.
Mount CB
Install new set of 8x14.5s and wire electric brakes on trailer.
top 2 and bottom are a must .the rest I can put off if I run out of time.
On Saturday, assume that we are leaving the Hermit Valley campsite at 9am and driving to Slickrock trail. My guess is we'll air down and start Slickrock ~9:45am from the Alpine Lake side.
I just need to pack my junk and head out. I plan to leave the house at 3am Friday and expect to roll into camp by 1pm. I just hope work goes smooth this week for a Friday departure.
