Setting up a late march weekend plinkin session

Gonna try and find a weekend and location that suits a decent turn out for us to show off some toys and try out each others and have some fun....

4.80 for a box of 20. walmart carries it. Picked up 7 boxes today. Less than 40 bucks for 140 rounds

Range 1 is the POW range.

I can open it since I'm RSO qualified. Just need one other person ther with me. It's nice and the targetry is free.

My TM room is right down road so I can grab my tools (I break guns), and my Delta's aid bag.

Somewhere close to Denver is cool too once in a while to meet more guys and have some fun with my Non Springians. But, I have no idea about up there so I'll have to let y'all pick a place.

Well location is gonna depend part on who is coming from where. And where there is to shoot. If we can use the Carson range that'll be hard to beat. But still have to be partial fair to northerners lol

24-25? Denver area? Doesn't give me a lot of time to build my new gun. I'll be gone 5th thru 16th. Guess I can order parts before I leave and have some presents to open up when I get home.

Well where isn't decided yet. Date seems legit to me. Should be a good bit warmer. And might let me get a new toy by then.

I need to order a few parts myself. My upper handguard is wood still and doesn't flow with the Dragunov stock very well. I also need a cheek rest for it as its missing. Maybe a cheap scope to go on the sight rail too. I wouldn't mind adding a bi-pod wither. Just to keep the whole sniper rife theme going.

Are you refering to the range just outside of Gate 20? Otherwise how are all the civies going to get onto Carson with their weapons?

Not many places that I know of for a large group and limited rules unless we go west away from town. I'm not going to LHC to shoot. I know I shot a little up there on one trip last year, but it's too much of a shit show.

I've been here once before and it was pretty safe. I guess it's just a crap shoot as to how many people are there and so on. BLM land, so it's open to the public, free, etc. Just an option I'm throwing out. I don't know if it's under snow badly or what.

Man I have some ammo and some new toys and yet the weekends are horribly the worse for me. I have all the kids on the weekends and there is not way in hell I am taking a almost 3 year old and four year old shooting without nanny support.

You guys won't be able to shoot on Carson unless are guns/weapons are registered on Carson and that takes about 6-8 weeks.

I know of a spot just outside of Pine where we can shoot. It definitly sees weekend use though and usually it'd still be covered in snow in March but maybe since we've hardly had any snow this year it'll be ok.

Otherwise if you know of a good spot in ER that we can go to, lets do it.
