Does it hold up there? Seems like it wouldn't be there long?

It's done fine for me. I've hit quite a few limbs with it. The spring isn't very stiff, so it gives pretty well.

That's good. Mine's magnetic mount and I find it hanging by the wire frequently. I'm glad it's not a JB fab ant. mount. Those things are so heavy duty that it would have ripped the sheet metal from my rig before the mount bent.

Picked mine up from the local cb shop back in NC. $15, wasn't bad at all.

Well, I'm saying that I prefer my magnet base over a hard mount. As many times as it get knocked off on narrow grown up trails it would have broken something already.

Then I stuck some 35s on

TnT long arms RE 7 inch lift

That's an 8274, same winch that's on mine, and my Flattie. They are the best winches ever made!

I didn't realize they are sooo big! I know yours is fast as shit! I was amazed at how fast that thing was running when you crunched your passenger doors at gulches...

The best part about them is that replacement parts are readily available, and they are easy to rebuild, so they will go forever. I had an old Warn Bellview a few years back. It was the predicessor to the 8274. That thing had to have been at least 30 years old, and it still pulled great.

i'm running the same winch. there pretty nice. i hate how it takes a huge bumper to hold it in. lose of approach angle. i wanted to put it in front of my grill but i didnt want any cooling issues so it sit about as far down as yours.

could you get a pic of how yours is mounted?
