From what I understand, it's supposed to be guided trails on Fri and Sat, then Sun is un-guided runs.. There is a possibility of night runs too if enough want one. I am coming from Tulsa, and have a couple of others from a local club going to be there too.. One in a Scout, the other in a TJ. All of us plan to run level 3 trails...

I'll be there with quite a few from this area, we'll mostly be hitting 4s and 5s. I imagine the park is gonna be pretty crowded that weekend.

I'm guessing it will be pretty crowded... It's my first trip to Hot Springs, and my first major event/trail ride so it should be fun... I'll look forward to seeing you there,, I'll be in a blue 94 w/32" MTR's... I should be easy to spot as I am the only one I have seen with blue wheels to match the body.....

We had an awesome time in Hot Springs!!! They have all types of trails from dirt, gravel, rock, and boulders! Trails are rated 1-5. Powerline hill would rank about high 2 or low 3...

We started out on Friday with a guide that wanted to weed out us little guys so he took us mostly on 3's and 4's all day... I survived all of them minus a center cap, chunks from the tires and a little paint on my sliders... I gained a few dents in my frame though! I also had a motor mount start giving out... I was pretty happy considering I barely met requirements for a 3 and I survived all 4's without needing any straps..

Saturday we chose a guide who would take us on 2's and 3's to save more carnage on my daily driver. These were some awesome trails, but our guide was driving a Hummer, so his lines were way different from ours, and he didn't spot us at all... Made it a good challenge.

Sunday a couple of friends showed up with a Scout and a Rubi. We made some changes to the float level in the scout and headed out for some 2's. That float change made a huge difference, but some of the hills were still too much for it. We had a blast all day with the only issue being an "outage" with the alternator on the scout.... Kinda funny, belts were still running everything, not smoking, and the alt was locked up... Drove it back to camp, and replaced with no more issues...

Monday we hit a few 1's and 2's before heading home.

All in all it was great,,, got to see some real big boys running up "Impossible"... A sweet land cruiser rolled,,, and on Monday we heard another did, but we didn't get to see it....

I know some of these are not XJ's, but I was really surprised I didn't see more... There were only about 5-6 in all, and I only got to wheel with 2 of them.... I was really expecting to see more out there... Anyway, here are some pics of our fun!!! (Not sure why, but the pics are only showing up as links....
