Sacramento--Help regearing a poor college kid's axles? D30/35

I'm a full time college student--thus don't have all that much cash to play around with. Own an 84 2.8L, TF-904/NP207, 33's, currently with stock gears. Driving the 2.8's a bear with my current set-up, killing my MPG and tranny for that matter! I've put up with it long enough, and found a really good deal on 4.56's for my D30/35.

I know, I know, polishing a turd (plural?)...but its what I've got to work with, its my DD, and I don't wheel it all that much (and when I do I don't go nuts).

Is there anyone in my area, that might be willing to help me out? By all means willing to pay--just looking for someone with experience that might be able to save me from going into a shop.

If not does anyone know of any good, cheap(er) places to get them done? Anything info would help.

Akers87: I got them from a friend who just decided to go all out and go to D44's with 5.38's or something.

Kinda bummed nobody has seen this and is able to install gears. Haha.

But while were on the subject of sacramento--anyone know of the better jeep clubs around? maybe we can get an XJ club together in sacto?

I am definitely not a gear pro, and the only time I installed my own gears they seemed ok, pattern checked, etc. Would I do them again? Maybe, on a 14 bolt or other axle taht is easier to adjust. Isnertinga nd removing shims gets old and takes time to do well.

For a trail only rig I probably woudl not have a problem, but for something that runs on the road I would ratehr leave to someone that knows the stuff. I am all for learning stuff, but for a couple hundred bucks per axle it is cheaper than the tools and time you will invest on the process.
