which setup did you get?

Just made my reservations for the beach, still over 800 available. I'm looking forward to a kickback weekend........the vacation I just returned from kicked my butt.

Everyone should have a flag, it's the only way to see a rig that is below a dune to avoid a potential wreck. It's also easy to get a light stick to attach to the flag at night.....we will do a night run or two.

The norm is to hang out at camp on the beach and take off now and then for an hour or two run through the dunes, watch the quads race, and hang at comp hill for awhile.

im not too sure lol. bought the kit from fullsizedxjgear. i got the np231. so its gonna be the AA sye and tom woods driveshaft. any input on how difficult it is to install would be nice. or maybe i should trailer my rig to the dunes and get help from all the people who are gonna be there... haha any takers??

I'd be glad to help if you have an enclosed trailer...otherwise there may be some grit in there when i'm through. :D

I just hope i get it in time.

lets see... on sat. last week i took apart my whole t-case and replaced the entire planetary gear set along with the output shaft and the chain. not sure if you have the new output shaft and cone assembly thing or just the hack-n-tap. never done a hack-n-tap and know nothing about it. but as far as the new output shaft goes its not that hard just messy and nasty.

heres a write up on the output shaft replacement for the 231:

looks hard but really isnt that difficult. just a couple of bolts holding the t-case together and 3 snap rings(big snap rings).

Still just over 800 spots left. Weather down here has only been in the high 80's, so unless that goes alot higher, I think a sell out is very unlikely.

i'll be there , bringing my son. it's time to teach him to drive. i also booked my space...a HOTEL!

I thought Richard was the only Wheeler Dealer from Bako?

What hotels are decent and somewhat close?

The wife isn't 100% into "no facilities" camping just yet. Probably drive down Friday and stay at a hotel, then hopefully camp on Saturday.

I'll probably make an appearance but as of right now my 4wd is a long way from working. I need to swap gears from my bent D30 into my new D30 and I need a front drive shaft. College = no money so I won't be able to fix until summer or after summer.

Wait, do we need to book a spot if we are going to be tent camping? Me confused....:helpme:
Probably not...there are still 800 sites available, so unless it gets really hot down here, then they probably won't sell out. You can pay when you get there as long as they don't sell out.

3 places you can stay...at pismo

#1 ---on the beach[tents, campers or trailers]
#2----rv and tent camp grounds in oceano, and pismo/grover beach.
#3----lots of hotels

the weather will be around 65 to 80 [NORMAL]during the day and sweat-shirt weather in the evenings, with sometimes windy conditions on the beach. plus...pleanty of places to EAT!!

att: johnX...i'm little goatman. richards brother.

looks like i might be making it after all. i just got my SYE and tom woods driveshaft in today. I live 15 minutes away from Advance Adapters, i just figured ill sent my jeep there tommorow and have them do it right. so ill be there. next is to get it smogged and registered. then its LEGAL!!!!....

So you need to make a reservation? I assume that you cant just camp somewhere on the beach?
