Rubicon This weekend 19-21st

I'm with the Reno crew but I can't leave Reno until Friday at 6. Been talking to Alan and the plan is to camp at loon or as close to it on Friday. I plan on entering on the loon side on Friday and trying to find their camp. Is there anyone planning on entering on the loon side late? It'l probably take me till 8 or 9 to get the loon trail head from Reno Friday night.
 
This sounds hella fun. I will try and get sat off.(not too likely). And try to come up Fri night
 
i cant really get off eaerly friday. if all my jeep projects are in reasonable shape i might even drive my XJ up there...
 
i might go. working on new front end tonight. mike came by and helped a ton earlier. finished welding a bunch of scrap metal to make a truss along the lp30 bucket to bucket, not pretty but it was basically free.

Most likely not making this.. Short staffed at work and no 1 to switch shifts.. Super bummed. Answer i've never wheeled in the dark yet with my rock lights and hid's. :’(
 
Well hopefully you can make it... I'm trying my hardest to get out there. Master cylinder took a dump so I gotta replace that today. The 8.8 is great. Breaking in the gears now.

My currie lift is amazing as well. The rear rides pretty stiff, but I have blown shocks as well, so that could do it
 
i have a guy from work coming in tomorrow...his name is caleb he drives a '00 long arms and 35s flat black and rhino lined sides....i migth swing in late tomorrow or early saturday morning for the day trip...not looking forward to that but i wanna get up there.
 
I'm all packed and ready to go, getting off work at noon, then winco then heading up the hill by 130ish, hopefully that's early enough to get a decent camp spot by the box.

my jeep still aint together fully and im sleep deprived from too many late nights wrenching. after swapping front ends last 2 nights all i need to do is set the toe and swap on the ruffstuff cover.
sean let me know when youre going maybe ill roll in later with you.
the stupid RE 4.5 coils i swapped in are more lik 3" coils and my RE 5.5" coils are more like 5.5" coils even with the winch and winch bumper. sucks.
im tempted to swap the coils out...

Mike im good to go. Ill give you a ring around 12:00 and let you know whats up. Are your galt buddys still coming? Also we need to bring firewood and I have a campfire permit. Its time to party1:
 
1 or 2 galt fellas are coming to my house at 1230, then winco then heading up the hill. The other 3-5 guys are leaving galt later in the day and will meet us up there. I'm all gassed up so we'll just meet you at the easiest spot off the freeway at cameron park.
We're bringing a chainsaw so i'm not bringing any firewood.
