Rubicon June 17 through 19

So would it be better for everyone if we met up someplace in camp Thursday night/eve and started Friday? That would allow Phil to make it up there as well.

Again, what is a good spot to meet? Any camping at the entrance to the trail??

There are tons of places to camp near the trailhead. Loon Lake is one place. Also see the planning thead for the trip in august.

If my junk is done, I may go for just the weekend, starting the trail Friday night and catching Remi Saturday sometime.

This is the schedule that would work best for me too. I hope your stuff is done and hopefully we can meet up and start the trail friday night. I ordered a yellow top Optima battery and am going to be running some off-road lights so I could go with you and meet up with Remi and the group down the trail if they get a headstart they plan on doing. Would this be o.k.? I live in Citrus Heights, and you're just up the road on I-50 right?

OK, so how about this:
Meet at Loon Lake Campground on Friday June 18, and start for the trail by 9am.

So who'll be there starting Friday AM? And who will catching up to the group (Crash? Steinjeep?)at night? and who will be there as early as Thur afternoon to poke around and maybe checkout Uncle Tom's cabin and so on.

Btw, how's the facilities at Loon Lake? I really don't care as to what they got or what they don't got, but I my sis might want to know what will I be getting her son into :D

Also, do I need a reservation? or they ussually got spots?

Dude, I'm not making any firm plans, my jeep is in 1.5 million pieces!

IF I go, I'll come in Friday night, be at Spider by 10 pm or so.

You got that right, Jes told me you only invite people who weld worst than you do!

If that were the case, you would be invited. I saw the FAILED welds on Jes's front bumper. In fact, he had URF do the warranty work on your junk!

There was nothing wrong with the weld, it was all the grinding that was the problem. :D

I'll be there Thursday Evening:woohoo:
I wanna try out my new Cobra 2000W inverter... Mr Coffee and a waffle maker will come in handy for breakfast. The TV and Playstation2 will keep the kid busy :)

Ok, this is about 6 weeks away right now. I really really want to be there for it. If the plan is going to be camp up there Thursday night the 17, great. I don't want to say I will be able to play around Thursday afternoon, but I'd try to make it.

I haven't gotten a settlement on the MJ yet, so no salvage. If I'm not set up for the trip, can I get a seat with someone?

Whats up with your insurance carrier? Who is it?

They should have had you in a new vehicle by now!

Yeah, what lame insurance do you have? Call that place up and demand answers, this is getting crazy. Do they think they can tie a person up without a vehicle for that long? I had my settlement for my zj that was totaled with 1-1/2 weeks and the guy even came to my work to have me sign off on my title and he gave me a big check. I paid $4,700 for my 95' zj with 3" lift and 31" tires 148K miles and he gave me $7,600 after my $250 deductible. I was really happy with that, I then put that money into my 98' zj with 62K miles that I bought for $8,200 from a 5 star dealer in San Jose.
Phil, start calling that insurance up and yelling at some people and know who you talked to and get some answers. It's obviously not a priority for them.

I have State Farm.
I have to be fair, though, they did make me an offer a while back. $3000. I felt that was not a fair market value, based on what other modified MJs were asking,on atuotrader.com. Of course, there were no MJs at all listed within 300 miles, so the agent working my claim wouldn't even look at them. Now it's with an independent assessor to see if he can come up with a better value. Oh yeah, there was a $50 adjustment for "6 to 9 inch lift" :sure:

Up or down? If it was down you have 5.5" lift anyways :D

Any idea when you think things might come together? Still thinking of going with the dumpster? Laura thought we might need a permit if it's going to be parked on the street (the dumpster). The dumpster company may know that. Weekends are starting to fill up on my calendar so let me know as soon as you can :D Then we can get everybody out there to hack that thing up!!! :repair: :explosion party1:
