I would. At 4.5 with CAD brackets (there is a chart somewhere) you CAN use stock LCA's, or at least stock length is about what you need with the CAD brackets I believe. If you do not run CAD brackets, you will need longer LCA's at the very least (adjustables are ideal). Pretty much anything 4"+ you will want to notch the shock mount above the LCA mount so you can get some additional flex. You will also want extended brake lines. With "short" arms, the CAD brackets bring your CA angles close-ish to stock which will give you a better ride.
You're correct, at 3" you do not need long arms or CAD brackets.
Only reason I have 4.5 RC coils right now is that I was helping a friend out who needed 3" springs for the heep he was selling and we traded coils. Long/mid arms are definitely in MY future.
Thanks Johnnie. Right now I do have adjustable LCA and for that matter adjustable UCA that are still waiting to be installed. Also I have add longer SS braded break lines as the back one was stretched after I added the lift.
Ride, is important for a DD so I have alway wanted drop brackets when I went up to 4.5" lift which seems to be happening right now.
What are mid arms? Can you use adjustable LCA for them and just bolt them back a few inches?
