Rubbing with 31" tires and a 3" lift

I would. At 4.5 with CAD brackets (there is a chart somewhere) you CAN use stock LCA's, or at least stock length is about what you need with the CAD brackets I believe. If you do not run CAD brackets, you will need longer LCA's at the very least (adjustables are ideal). Pretty much anything 4"+ you will want to notch the shock mount above the LCA mount so you can get some additional flex. You will also want extended brake lines. With "short" arms, the CAD brackets bring your CA angles close-ish to stock which will give you a better ride.
You're correct, at 3" you do not need long arms or CAD brackets.
Only reason I have 4.5 RC coils right now is that I was helping a friend out who needed 3" springs for the heep he was selling and we traded coils. Long/mid arms are definitely in MY future.

Thanks Johnnie. Right now I do have adjustable LCA and for that matter adjustable UCA that are still waiting to be installed. Also I have add longer SS braded break lines as the back one was stretched after I added the lift.

Ride, is important for a DD so I have alway wanted drop brackets when I went up to 4.5" lift which seems to be happening right now.

What are mid arms? Can you use adjustable LCA for them and just bolt them back a few inches?

a "mid arm" is like a long arm, but not as long. I know Max, from DBO is working on a mid-arm kit. But as of right now to my knowledge the only mid arm are custom. Most control arms do not adjust far enough to make them usable for a "mid arm"
There is a member, who recently posted in SoCal FS, that is selling a pair of CAD brackets. Might want to jump on it.

Now I am thinking that the lift Rough Country sent me did not raise the jeep 3"

I came on on an other site and asked that question before because in the front I have 19" from my center of the cap to the bottom of the flare. Which = 1.5" of lift. In the rear I have 19" from the center of the cap to the bottom of the flare which is 2" of lift. :help:

When I asked about this Dukie thought that I should measure from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame rail for a more accurate measurement. "
With no steering linkage or anything but the actual tube to the bottom of the frame rail(again nothing but the frame rail).
stock front: 6 3/4"
stock rear: 6""
I have not done this yet as I felt that what was said was correct and that 'Different years the flare maybe at different heights.'

But that said, Rough Country does not have a 2" lift with new front and rear springs. :read:

So I just though all was OK and since I did not measure axle to frame I thought that I got what I paid for but now I am unsure.

But how could this happen? 100 pounds of winch and a 60 pound bumper be that much weight? An what about the back? :shhh:

Just thought I would update what I found out on the top of the axle to bottom of the frame rail measurements:
Front = 8 1/4 and the rear = 7 1/2.

This means after settling Babajeep has 1 1/2" of lift. I need to talk with Rough Country this is just not right.

What is holding me back is I don't want to put more of their stuff on my rig so if, and the should, offer me some replacement parts do I want to take the time out to install them?

Even if you plan on lifting with other item, see if they will arranty/replace your items. And sell them to offset the cost of what you are purchasing to install. There is no crime in this as they should not sag as quickly as they did. You do not have to tell them you are installing something else either. You bought a product that was supposed to be xx, and its not. If they warrant it, awesome. If not, just move on.

the original pro-comp long arm was actually more what we call a mid arm kit.

Sent pictures to Jason, Grimus99XJ, for help resolving this issue.

Just an update.
Rough Country is sending me two new front coil springs to help resolve this issue of one and a half inches of lift after settleing.
This shows that Rough Country still have good customer service.
Thank you Jason, Grimus99xj, for all your help.
