Replacing Jeep Hood Emblem

Hey,

My 99 XJ was repainting from the previous owner and the Jeep hood emblem is now starting to peel off and crack. (Not to mention it wasn't alligned/spaced properly)

Has anyone replaced their Jeep emblem? I think all I need is adhesive glue and I'm good to go. My current Jeep emblem is spaced out, and I think from the many I have looked at they are very close together (the letters). Or am I wrong?

I am looking to purchase from team cherokee's website. The price is 30 bucks so I'm wondering if there is a cheaper alternative someone knows about?

the letters are held on with double backed tape. go tq your local pull-a-part with a putty knife & peel a set off. It's that simple.Put them back on with3M automotive double back tape, the black kind, not that cheap white crap they sell at the auto parts store, Be careful when you peel the old one off your rig, If you peel the paint off you'll be putting the new ones back in the same wrong spot.

If it were me, I'd just get a replacement from your local Jeep dealer. I had to replace the one on my back hatch after my wreck. I think it was about $30. Really easy to install, the hard part for you would be removing the old one.
