I left a note on the boulder to the right at the beginning of Sack-Up in the form of emerald metallic paint and broken taillight. :D

Total afterthought to check that obstacle out. Once I got to the top I slid right and hung up on those damned control arm drop brackets. Michael got me pointed the right direction again and I went right up. I think I'm in for longarms now. ;)

Nice, I bet the poop-chute liked your drop brackets too :)

Took the left line and slid on the right rock rail. Cleared the drop brackets with no issues. :D Bonked the rear bumper again, but that tin can is being replaced. Moot point. ;)

Funny thing about Poop Chute... Some crazy bastard in my head looked at that and whispered, "A caged Samurai would be fun to jump off that thing in..." :wierd:

To be honest, they might make it easier to slide on, but they still would probably of held you up (maybe not as much). But a rear locker would definetely of helped. And a winch in the front would of been incredible :)

Got your list going?

Glad you had a good time.

Made it home. Jeep isn't doing as good. Did ok on the freeway. Spuddered into our driveway. XJ barely running as I backed it into the driveway. Danielle doesn't know if she will go back up. At least I learned and have my "To Do" list going again.

Oh yeah, in case of emergency, Schucks in Monroe is open to 8:00.

Glad to see you made it home. Still same issue with the TPS? There should be tons of help in the other forum to seach, should be a pretty easy fix (crossing fingers).

You did a great job on the trail. It is truly amazing what a DD can do. And there was a noticable difference if your ability as we progressed during the day keeping traction in all the right spots. Experiences like this is what makes you really understand your vehicle and what it can do.

Danielle, I know it can be stressful watching each of these obsticles. Believe it or not, the more you see it and understand it the easier it is to watch. And the more you see precariouse situations the more you understand what to watch out for, before it happens. You did good. And it is very nice to see other wives and kids on the trail!!

Yup! I'm sorry I couldn't go. Domestic issues that needed to be dealt with.

New floors coming soon!

Honestly?

The best parts were not caught on film and the film did no justice to what was taken.

Now I have to figure out why my Jeep won't run correct.

That's usually how it goes. You get to the point where people bring cameras but rarely use them. You're busy wheeling and not stopping unless absolutely necessary. :)

Check ALL of your vacuum lines. Mine ran like shit after the last Evans Creek run. Get a second set of eyes - Chris finally found a line that had popped off but was laid back in place looking like it was still plugged in...

Usually the toughest problems have simple solutions....

Hmm.

I have always had black smoke involved with vacuum leaks, will have to check the lines out. In the morning I am going to take a look at the cat and see if there is any exterior damage.

Wife needs is stressing about getting her van back. Funny to watch.

Had that happen while I was moving back up here from El Paso. Was hauling a trailer through central Calihomo and lost a bunch of power all of a sudden. Stopped at the next exit and popped the hood. Vacuum fitting had dry-rotted and the hose fell off. Luckily there was a Jeep dealer nearby who stocked the vac lines.

On another note, I noticed the steering wheel tweaked a little and a slight wobble from the front end. Upon closer inspection of the steering linkage (which looked fine) I noticed that the steering box mount is a bit skewed and the bolt holes are starting to crack. Time to repair and reinforce. Due to my limited time/resources I'll have to settle for a C-Rok kit instead of the JKS.

Other than that there's the whole taillight/rear bumper thing. I'll get it on the lift tomorrow at work to see what else I jacked. :D

I think the BFG's did good.

You guys think I should stay with them or slowly switch over something in a 32 from Truxus?

Wheel more with what you've got. Your money would be better spent on a front locker. ;)
