OK my wife and I are making plans right now. But nothing is set in the proverbaly stone just yet. We need to get away for a lil bit anyways and March 15th is my B-day.
If we do go I will be running 32s on 4.5" lift open front and rear. I am looking into getting a locker for the D30 right now too.
And we will be staying in a hotel. We can't camp with my lil girl just yet.
She 5 months old as well but the wife doesn't think its a good idea to have her camp. Hotel is fine with me too. My wife and I were talking about the wheeling part today. She thinks easy trails will be ok but anything that rocks her too bad is a NO... and I agree!
I'll have my 15 year old girl with me as well. I'm so glad that she's into vehicles, it makes my life so much easier. I'm not too sure how she feels about camping though.
My girlfriend might be bringing her 17 year old son. Sad that my daughter knows more about motors than he does. Oh well....
We're still trying to weigh the cost of camping vs. hotel since all the camping gear I use to have access to has disappeared.
We'll probably stick to the newbie trails as well because of mine is still stock and running on 235's.
I'd spend at least that on camping gear. Of course over the long run the gear is a better investment, but since I'm still trying to recover from repairs to both the car and Jeep over the past two months.....
I was always impressed with my old '87 stock with 29's. I was even more impressed with my '80 Chevy Luv (I guess I've done more wheeling than I realize.)
Thanks for the head's up on the expense of the inn. I will discuss with my financial advisor (aka girlfriend) tonight.
Well i'm not going to be able to make it anymore. I found out that my national pistol tourney doesn't end until friday and its at fort Benning and so I would be riding back from there to Texas then saturday i would drive to arkansas then sunday drive back and be ready for school again after being gone all week. This is during my spring break too.
That would be funny.....unless one has to pull you off the trail with you wearing that sticker. I always avoid those kinds of things. As a 3 Land Rover, 2 Jeep, and 1 Toyota 4x4 owner, I always take whatever help I can get graciously, and I always give 110% to help another guy out. I've pulled Hummers, Jeeps, and other Land Rovers with the Range Rover, and I've had my a$$ saved by Jeeps more than a few times. But, if I can get my strap on a guy with a sticker like that, boy will those pics go a long way. :lecture:
