Pros and Cons of a D44 spool

shutup!
that is an idiotic thing to say. spools dominate! and most auto lockers chirp in turns too, unless you drive like a 70 year old... put some more air in the tires and they will be fine.

I can GUARANTEE that a spool will chew through your tires. CRASH put a spool into my D44 - and he definitely would have put a selectable in there if I had wanted it - and I've had it under my truck about 10 days now. I can ALREADY see a distinct difference between the front and rear tires. And putting more air in the tires? I'm running about 32psi in 35" MT/Rs, on a LWB MJ.

I have been running welded since July of '03 on my daily driver/wheeler. I would have no doubts at all about doing it again. Sure like everyone else has said it will chirp the tires, have a binding feeling in tight parking lot turns and make the vehicle seem to push a little more through corners but the traction makes it well worth it. I have been driving this winter on worn out BFG AT's and have had no problems getting around. In 2wd you can slide around easily at any time and in 4wd it is very predictable IMHO.

Oh, rear tire wear is a little more than usual.
